PAST REUNIONS
Class of 1996 Reunites After 10 Years
By Monica Lynn Torres
The Class of 1996 celebrated our 10 year reunion October 20th & 21st. We were able to unwind from our busy lives at a gathering on Friday evening. It's amazing not many of us have changed in appearance that much, so it was great spotting people as they arrived.
Saturday afternoon we had a lunch at the Quarries. This was the first time most of us had been to Quarries since we graduated, so that was a real treat! The Prancers came out to give the kids candy and prizes. Saturday evening we had dinner at Dan McKusky's where we passed around old pictures and got to reminisce about old times with a video from graduation.
It was great catching up with old friends and meeting their new families. Thank you to the Class of 1996 for making this event a huge success! For those who couldn’t make it, we hope to see you at our next reunion!

Classes of 1985-1988 Reunion Highlights
By Kelli Weeren-Stanford '86
Our 20 year high school reunion was June 25 2005. What an enjoyable event it was.
We met at the Quarries for a family picnic on Saturday. It was so much fun to get there early and as every one came walking up try to guess who they were. It was amazing watching all of our children play together, throwing rocks in the quarries lake, and jumping on the moon bounce and skipping lunch to get back in line for more snow cones. Many alumni brought their parents out to the Quarries so that the Moms and Dads of alumni could get reacquainted. At 3:00 most Alumni had gone home and it was our parents who we finally had to kick out so that we could clean the place up!
Later, we had an adult dinner at the Iron Cactus downtown. That evening many more alumni came out to join in fellowship with others and there was a lot of catching up to do. We had alumni come from here in town, from Dallas, Houston and even Beth, class of '86, came in for the weekend with her husband from Chicago, how great it was to see her. This reunion was a blast for everyone, and I know we will be looking forward to the next time we can all get together again.
A huge thank you goes out to Gina Crossno-Wardlow '86 who planned this event. She put together a memorable reunion for all!
1991-93 REUNION HIGHLIGHTS
By Trish Bode-Snead ‘92
Our reunion was truly an enjoyable event! We met at the Quarries for a family picnic on Saturday, September 25, 2004. It was quite an experience watching all of our children play together. Many thanks go to the Hyde Park Prancers who displayed their dance talent with an awesome performance. The children also enjoyed getting their faces, arms, and hands painted by these wonderful ambassadors of HPBS.
The dinner for the adults that evening at Dave and Busters provided us with lots of time to catch up and enjoy each other. At the reunion we found people we respected and admired which is a testament to the Hyde Park School System for providing the foundation for us to stand on.
Some of us also learned that we require more sleep than in high school. So as we yawned our way back home, I realized that this reunion was nothing like those portrayed on TV but rather was an experience that I would gladly go through again.
Thanks go out to all of the alumni who attended the event and a big “We Missed You” to those who couldn’t make it. Even though it’s been 11, 12, or even 13 years since many of us had seen each other, it seemed just like yesterday…

CLASS OF 1994 REUNITED
By Lindsay Newman-Sauls '94
Celebrating our 10 year anniversary, the class of 1994 enjoyed catching up with old friends at our reunion on April 24, 2004, at Moonshine Grill in Austin. Alumni introduced their spouses and shared pictures of their children. Good food and talking were the main items on the agenda.

1981-1984: HISTORIC REUNION
Hyde Park's first four graduating classes reunited September 20, 2003. Alumni and their families gathered at the Quarries for an afternoon picnic filled with fellowship and fun. Coco, the Panther mascot, was delightful with the children. The Prancers entertained all with a wonderful dance routine and gathered with the schools' very first Prancers and Cheerleaders for an historic photo.
A reunion dinner at Cool River Cafe on Saturday night provided an opportunity for the adults to catch up over some delicious food. Everyone extended a A BIG THANKS to reunion organizers: Catherine Prendergast-Miller, Laura Everett-Moore, and Laura Wallace-Pierce.
