A lasting way to fund scholarships and programs
Gifts of $10,000 or greater may be used to create named endowment funds. Endowments are invested, and only the earnings are used for funding the purpose of the endowment, which enables the corpus to grow over time. Such a scholarship or fund may be named in honor of the donor or in honor/memory of someone else. Once established, contributions to increase the principal can be made by anyone at any amount.
Types of Endowment Funds:
Endowed Funds for Programs or Departments – proceeds are used to fund programs or departments at HPBS (EX: Teacher’s Endowment Fund)
Endowed Scholarships- proceeds are used to provide scholarships for qualified students. There are two levels of endowment funding for naming a scholarship for a friend or loved one.
* Named Endowed Scholarship Fund
* Named EXCELLENCE FUND Endowed Scholarship Fund
An endowed scholarship is a wonderful and lasting way to honor someone because these scholarships continue giving year after year for perpetuity, providing many children the opportunity to benefit from an excellent Christian education at HPBS.
