• Hyde Park's history is strong. Hyde Park Baptist Schools celebrated its 40th Anniversary in 2008!
  • From its establishment in 1968, over 1200 students have graduated from Hyde Park Baptist Schools. 
  • HPBS serves families throughout Austin and is currently composed of many denominations representing over 70 churches in the Austin area.
  • God has blessed HPBS with a diverse and wonderful community of families. HP is a large K-12 school in the Austin area with 730 students for the 2009-2010 school year. 
  • Teaching students to think Biblically and integrate faith in Christ into their daily lives is foundational to HPBS. HPBS students are involved in weekly Chapel as well as Bible courses including Old Testament, New Testament, Apologetics, Christian Home and Family. HP High School students also have an opportunity to be a part of the new Austin Christian Leadership Academy (established in 2008.) 
  • Over 85% of all HP students take Pre-AP and AP courses during their High School years.
  • As of 2009, Dual Credit College Courses are available.
  • The HP Class of 2009 had a 3.5 average.   One Class of 2009 student achieved recognition as National Merit Finalist, with 5 more students achieving National Merit Commended.
  • Of HP graduates for 2004 through 2009, 99% are attending four-year universities or colleges.
  • Over $7.7 million in college scholarships and grants were offered to the HP graduating classes of 2004 through 2009.
  • Extracurricular programs thrive at HPBS! HP Athletics, Academic Competitions, Mock Trial Teams, Science Olympiad, and Fine Arts programs at HP have won state titles and regional rankings.
  • Elementary standardized test scores are in the top 17% of the national average.
