Curriculum (Academics)

Hyde Park Baptist Schools' curriculum builds on basic skills in language arts, mathematics, social studies and science and is designed to thoroughly prepare students for college. The professional faculty reevaluates each subject area as a part of our ongoing school improvement process. Additionally, kindergarten through twelfth grade Vertical Teams meet each summer to share ideas about curriculum revisions. Curriculum Maps for K-12 have been developed for the core subject areas of English/Language Arts, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies. This process assures that there are no gaps or overlaps in the K-12 curriculum. The curriculum places strong emphasis on academic skills at all levels. The ongoing curriculum development includes the TEKS as well as Hyde Park enrichment objectives.
